Mirror Me – ESL Drama Game

This classic drama game helps children work together and focus their energies. Great for teaching children ages 6+🤩🇬🇧.

Mirror Me 👭🙌
1. Put children into pairs and have them standing or sitting (closely) facing each other

2. Child A is the leader and child B must mirror the leader by carefully following his/her exact movements.

3. Encourage leaders to use simple and slow movements so as not to “lose” their followers.

4. After a two or three-minutes have children swap roles.

5. To help children practice their English, you can guide leaders to perform movements in different ways:
– Use big, gigantic, small, tiny gestures
– Use funny, sad, angry, happy, sleepy faces/movements
– Use only your left hand, right hand, left foot, right foot
– Action verbs: brush your hair, wash your face, brush your teeth, put your make-up on, etc…

Note: If you are teaching young or very lively goups I recommend keeping the children seated 🧘‍♀️

Lots of fun and an ideal concentration activity.😄🤩
