English Teachers Who Inspire

I was talking to a teacher yesterday and I asked her how she got her authentic “British” accent.
She told me it was thanks to two incredible English teachers she had at school.
I too had some exceptional Drama teachers while growing up in the UK, some of which I am still in contact with (after 28 years) here on Facebook.
So my question is..are our life choices influenced by our natural interests and talents or by a few inspirational educators that teach us?
